Rio de Janeiro,
Exotic Brazil filled with its samba, its Capoeira and its power fruit Guarana. Brazil is very different from the rest of Latin America. Its culture and its parties increasingly attract more tourists every year. Due to the large amount of territory Brazil covers, it is filled with an infinite variety of activities and sights. Rio is one of the best-known and important cities in Brazil. It is a vibrant and diverse city that you will love. Here are some of the places you don’t want to miss. Pão de Açúcar
The Pão de Açúcar is a mountain facing the Atlantic Ocean. To reach the top, you need to take two cable railways. The first one stops on the Morro de Pão de Açúcar and the second takes you to the Pão de Açúcar. It is the best spot to watch the sunset while drinking a coffee and eating some local specialties such as Pão de Queijo.
El Cristo
The famous open-armed statue cannot be missed even if getting there can be quite a challenge. To reach the top, multiple options are available; you have to negotiate to get the best price. The more people you ask the better deal you will get!
Once you get there, you won’t believe your eyes. The statue is huge and the view is incredible! It will provide you with a 360-degree view of the whole city, the ocean, and the mountains. Take a good camera with you to be able to get the best pictures.
Ipanema and Copacabana
These are the two main beaches of Rio. On the weekend they are crowded and walking salesmen come to you to sell bikinis, jewelry or drinks. These two locations are beautiful but they have very distinct personalities. Ipanema’s landscape looks more modern with its fancy high rises facing the ocean. Copacabana is more fun- people surf, have a drink in one of the little kiosks. Make sure to check out both and decide which one you like best! Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is an ancient neighborhood offering dozens of old timeless colonial buildings. The village is on the top of a hill and the narrowness of the streets gives a close familiar feeling like you would feel in an old European village. To get there, you need to ride the tramway, which is also a great way to visit the area and admire the huge houses! Back in the day, this zone was inhabited by wealthy people but nowadays it is home to various artists. You will enjoy the tour.
The town center
Centro is the historical district of the city. There are a lot of monuments, museums and parks. The center is beautiful and walking around is lovely. Among the monuments, you will also see very modern buildings. Sit down at a fresh juice stand and feel the carioca energy.
Lapa
This bohemian vicinity has been the party place for hundreds of years. Live bands will make the block dance and the main street is closed to cars on weekend nights. You will also find some colonial architecture. If you want to get the Brazilian moves, this is the place to go. Be ready to have fun in the crowd. The excitement here is contagious.
Parque Lage
Parque Lage is a great place to go for breakfast and enjoy the park itself. Right at the bottom of Corcovado, the park has a breath-taking mansion built in the 1800’s, lots of green space and even a waterfall and lake towards the back where you can just sit and relax. Inside of the mansion, you can usually find an exhibition by students from the art school, which is also located in the park. Take advantage of this opportunity because admission to the park is free!
 Jardim Botanico
The Jardim Botanico is near the Parque Lage. There you will be able to learn and appreciate the diversity of the Brazilian flora and fauna. The garden has a collection of orchids and bromeliads, medicinal plants, all kinds of palm trees and much more. This is the perfect place for an evening walk and to take some beautiful pictures.
Shopping in Rio
There are tons of malls in town like the Barra Shopping in Barra da Tijuca, Shopping Leblon in Leblon, Fashion Mall in Sao Conrado and others. Street fairs are also great options! Ipanema has one on Sundays and Copacabana has one right at the beach from Monday through Saturday until midnight. Another famous place to check out is the Feira de Sao Cristovao with typical art from northeast Brazil. Those fairs have great and affordable souvenirs, handmade artisan goods and nice art items that are usually very well priced.
The tip corner
Stay cautious when walking around. Avoid carrying valuable belongings.
Buy the Brazilian flip-flops: the Havaianas -they are super comfy.
Lots of youth hostels can be found close to the beaches. A great one is the Rio hostel. The breakfast is great, it is 5 minute-walk from the Copacabana, and it is very clean.
In Brazil, you can negotiate the price in small stores so don’t hesitate to ask.
Don’t leave Brazil without trying the Acai, the Amazonian fruit they serve with ice.
Do not change all your money at the airport; the best deals are in town.
Drink fresh coconut water and rent 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for the day. You will feel like royalty at a very affordable price.
Try to experience the beauty, diversity and craziness of the annual Carnival. A moment when people from all origins and background get together to celebrate. Advertisers! The most important aspect of your portfolio and composite card photos is not quantity but rather quality. You want people to say “WOW” when they go through each page. Here are some useful tips to achieve the best results.
Find a great test photographer
Often, the agency will refer photographers they work with. You do not have to use one of them. If you are not signed by an agency you have several ways to look for a photographer, such as yellow pages and the Internet.
When choosing a test photographer, you must see their portfolio. It will show you right away what they can do. If you are searching online, glance at their galleries. If they do not have an online portfolio, then set a meeting to look at their book in person.
It is always a great idea to see the latest test shot that person did. You will be able to see if there are a lot of great shots or not. Like models, photographers only keep the best pictures on display and you want to make sure these were not random successes.
Once you find a photographer whose style and budget match yours and who you feel comfortable with, set a date for the shoot. Remember if testing for an agency, you should not have to pay for the shoot. They will pay for you and then reimburse themselves with your future bookings.
Get ready for your first shoot
IIt is not always easy to look comfortable and have great poses on camera. So before going to the shoot, you will need to practice.
Look at some magazines and choose the poses you like. In front of a mirror, train yourself to copy these poses and memorize them (at least 10). Also work on your facial expressions, try to be sad, surprised, joyful, mysterious, mad, etc. Models must be able to communicate their emotions through their eyes.
Still facing the mirror, try to switch poses and strike, move your head, your hand, and your hip. Sometimes the photographer will guide you, which makes the shoot super easy, but other times you will be doing the work. Be prepared.
If you already know which clothes you will be wearing, practice dressed up. Clothes can accentuate some features, so you need to make sure it looks great. Think about using your pockets, jewelry, bag, hat, etc.
If you have a shy personality, you can try to take some improvisation classes, which should help you feel more comfortable with yourself and others.
fortable with yourself and others. The day of the shoot
Try to get there a little early to get to know the photographer and confirm what you will be doing. Be sure to bring plenty of clothes, shoes and accessories to create the strongest looks.
The length of the shoot will depend on the number of looks and hours you booked. Usually you can count an hour for makeup and an hour for the actual shoot per look.
Be patient, the photographer will be adjusting the lighting, the background. All of this is necessary to get the absolute best results!
Create your portfolio and composite cards
TThe pictures from the test shoot might be edited, so you will have to wait a week or two to get them. The agency will help you pick the best ones. If you are not represented (yet), after the shoot, pick your favorites and have the photographer edit them and send them to you.
Your portfolio can be bought from several locations and can vary greatly in price. You can start with a simple binder. Some things to consider when choosing your portfolio support are: the quality of the material, pockets in the front and the back to store papers, and the possibility to put a picture in the front. Sometimes your agency will sell their own book; they can be expensive but are of good quality. Do not use one of these, however, if you are multi represented. It would not look professional.
Choose two different photos from each look. For example, choose one close-up shot and another full body shot. The closer shot should be put in the left side and the full length to the right side. If you have been published already, put your tear sheets first because they will impress the client. Remember to show the best!
Your composite card is like your business card; this is what the client will have left of you after the casting. Sometimes clients don’t even take the time to look at your portfolio! If you are not represented, composite cards can help you get an agency. In the front, you put one beauty shoot that shows your eyes, your complexion and your hair. On the back, place four pictures showing your market (business, catalogue, parts, etc.)
If you are planning to do commercial modeling, it is very good to have a shoot with another person; it is called an interaction shoot.
The portfolio and composite cards are essential tools for your self-promotion as a model. Clients will judge you on these; so do not bargain on the quality of your photos. Also, once you start modeling on a regular basis, update them because it will show you are working a lot and build your credibility as a talented professional model.
Now you know exactly what you have to do. Take the time you need to get the best results or you will just be a pretty face among others.
Interview Of A Travel Photographer
This month Modelixir got lucky to catch Carlo Zande, travel photographer, before his next flight. This Italian has been bitten by the travel bug and can’t stay in place! He lived in and visited so many countries that they would be too long to list. But you, lucky reader, get to see some of his most fantastic clichés from the comfort of your seat. You won’t believe your eyes. Carlo’s positive energy and kindness is contagious, he is the symbol of good karma.
Today he is giving to us, so our mission is to share and to “create a circle of good will” as he calls it. Open your eyes and your heart.
Carlo ZANDE
1. How and when did you become interested in photography? Describe your photography experience/education.
I have always had a love of travel and photography. I have taken thousands of photos in my lifetime, but have only started putting them on exhibition and offering them to the public in the past five or six years.
2. What kind of camera do you use?
My latest photos were taken with a Nikon d5000, but I believe that the camera does not matter as much as the final objective. That objective should be to transport people and transmit emotion.. 3. Besides your camera, what equipment/tools do you use most in your work?
I insist on not being bogged down by too much luggage and accessories, it interferes with the process. In addition to my camera, I carry tripod for stability, a Nikon – 50 mm and 35 mm-f.1.8 which is light weight and excellent in low light situations. Other than that, I carry plenty of curiosity and an open mind; these are really the most fundamental of “tools” needed to obtain unique photos that are representative of you.
4. Describe your overall photography aesthetic or style.
I hate to pigeonhole myself and tie myself down to a specific style. What I will say is that I do not like a posed photo; I prefer to capture life as it happens. Secondly, I must feel the picture to be motivated to capture and then share it.
5. What inspires your work (e.g., other photographers, nature, fashion, etc.)
Nature is the mother of all, the beginning and the end. Even when the photograph appears to be of a manmade structure, you will find some element of nature in, through or around it, stealing the show.
6. What is your most striking memory as a photographer?
My greatest joy in photography is when all the elements of an exceptional photo, which have been present but separate, collide to become one image of beauty and emotion. When I took “Maiden in the Meadow” it was all there, the textured, rustic wall, the field of bright flowers and the girl in the colorful dress. All it took was imagination and patience to capture what could be one of my better photographs.
7. What is your favorite form of photography and why? What are some of your favorite subjects?
I love remote locations, foreign and exotic people and destinations and anything that creates a poetic image that tells a story and conveys a feeling.
8. In your opinion, what makes a good photo?
A good photo is more than just a replica of what you have seen. A good photo will convey a bit of who you are to the observer and make them a participant more than an observer. 9. Which qualities do you look for in a model? Are you hands-on or do you prefer to stay behind the camera?
I do not use commercial models. If I photograph a person it is because of the story they carry with them, in their face, their hands or their actions. I do not position my subjects because I want their story told without my interference. I want to capture life as it happens and I can only do that behind the camera.
10. What advice would you give to an aspiring photographer?
Take time to know you and then convey your vision of the world in your work. The viewer should be able to know you a little better after appreciating your work.
11. What are the most common photography mistakes, and what’s your advice on how to avoid them?
Aside from the usual technical errors, the biggest error is in taking photographs that feel false, too constructed, unreal or “cold”. You could have all the best equipment with all the proper settings but if the scene is contrived, there is no “art” in it.
12. What are your views in photo editing? Describe your process.
I do not like to edit for the sake of correcting the photo. Either the photo stands on its own or does not. What I will do is edit to alter the art form as in my “Cosmic” series. The photos were stripped of color with the exception of one specific “emotion” color and then printed on metallic paper. I am also considering incorporating my photographs into other art forms but I want to keep the essence of the image itself.
13. Which historical event would you have liked to shoot?
I would have loved to have witnessed and captured the fall of the Berlin Wall. It was important because of its historical significance, but more so because it was the breaking down of barriers of and between men. The emotion must have been palpable.
14. How do you think the Internet has affected the photography industry? (i.e., online stores, industry-specific websites, forums, etc.)
The internet, and the advent of digital photography, has opened doors to everyone. It has made photography economically feasible for most and has offered access to the world from your desk top. My objective is to “share what you have” and the internet has given us this opportunity to do so more than ever before.
15. Which photographers do you look up to and why?
Steve Mccurry - love his vision, his style and his philosophy to “ capture the essence of human struggle and joy” per his website and Sebastiao Salgado, the MASTER !
  1930s Beauty Thrives…
As the stock market barely survives, the era of the Great Depression gives way to a more subtle beauty compared to the bold looks of the roaring 20s! A more humble and ladylike woman is born out of the need to be thrifty within the dying economy surrounding her. We enter this decade with earth tone shadows and natural milky white skin, coupled with softly pinned curls and lace snoods.
Begin your thirties face with a foundation a touch lighter than your own. Once this is applied you may feel a bit ghostly. But I promise, once we are done, you will look more like an angel! Finish the base by contouring the cheekbones with a darkskin powder and very lightly applying a flushed colored blush above it!
For the flirty thirties eyes, begin by applying a crème colored shadow on the entire lid. Like the cheeks, contour by using a brown or taupe colored shadow in the crease. Define your lashes by using a taupe liner and a brown or black mascara.
I like to use the same taupe liner on the lips! Not only does it give a beautiful and natural looking tone, it also follows the thriftiness of our thirties woman by not having to purchase another product! Fill in the whole lip with this liner and blot on a less glossy product, such as Chapstick or Vaseline to finish.
To create the thirties lovely and lacy hairstyle, start by letting down those pin curls! Of course the modern woman doesn’t go to the salon once a week to get her hair set. (Sorry Grandma!) So the women of today can get the same look by using a smaller barreled curling iron or hot rollers. Once the curls have cooled, gently swoop them back allowing the texture of the curl to remain, and pin into a loose bun at the nape of your neck. Finish the look with a fashion statement of the times. Drape a pretty little lace snood around your bun and secure at the edges with some bobby pins.!
Now that we know how to enhance our natural ladylike looks, maybe our actions will follow! HA! Then again, maybe not.
Kisses from my taupe colored puckers,

ARE YOU GREEN ?
Your score is
Lower than 10
You are not into anything related to the protection of the environment and the Earth. Maybe you feel powerless or maybe you are just simply not interested in what will happen to our children. Either way, these are not acceptable excuses. Start doing a good deed for our planet once a week, then once a day. It is not complicated. Please, put a little more energy into this. Change happens one by one, so you have to make a change today!
Between 10 and 20
You are aware of the major environmental problems our society is dealing with. You try as much as you can to not make things worse. Sometimes, you feel lost. You would like to do more but you don’t have sufficient knowledge. Each time you have doubt, do some research. You can still improve but thank you for already doing so much!
Greater than 20
Wow, you really care about the environment and you have been educating yourself and others for a while now. If there is not recycling program in the office building you work at, you bother the property management until they implement one. You buy local products and are even considering becoming vegetarian. If everyone were like you, a lot of the problems would be history. Keep up the good work but make sure not to become extreme. Change is possible with time but you know better than anyone that forcing it won’t work. Keep your educator role; you are already making a difference! Showering in chlorine
Have you ever felt itchy after taking a shower? Then you are probably experiencing the effects of showering with chlorinated water. There isn’t much being said about it because nearly everyone is doing it. I don’t know anybody who doesn’t enjoy a long, hot steamy shower. It’s great for relaxing tired muscles and washing away the stress of a hard day. The fact is, however: that taking long hot showers is a health risk! Chlorinated water is a long established public health practice necessary for disinfection of drinking water. Most people are now aware of the benefits of drinking filtered water over common tap water from the faucet. I, for one, haven’t been drinking tap water in over 15 years. I buy bottled water and I think it tastes delicious (and I recycle). Others I know are just as happy with filtered water. That’s fine for drinking water, but did you realize that 50% of your exposure to chlorinated water is in the shower? So what really happens when you shower with hot water? In an enclosed shower stall, chlorine actually vaporizes. You then inhale these vapors on a daily basis. You are also absorbing small amounts directly through the pores of your skin. Chlorine reacts with fatty acids and carbon fragments to create a variety of toxic compounds. Medical studies have suggested a link between absorption and inhalation of chlorinated-water and elevated risk for disease and serious illnesses. Preexisting conditions, like asthma and eczema, can also be exacerbated. And finally we come to the itchy, dry skin problem. Red, irritated eyes and dry/brittle hair are also side effects of chlorine in shower water. What should we do?
Get a shower filter!
OK, but which one should I choose? I did quite a bit of research on this subject, (as I usually do for any health related purchase), and I’ve discovered several key issues when selecting the best shower filter. The first filter type we will look at is:
- Carbon filters
Carbon is excellent when used for drinking water. The water pressure for tap water is very low compared with the pressure needed for a good, strong shower. For drinking water; carbon does very well. There is also the issue of temperature. Carbon is a COLD WATER filter. Tap water ranges from 60-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Shower water usually ranges from 85-105 degrees Fahrenheit. At higher temperatures carbon becomes ineffective and actually “off loads” and releases contaminants back into the water.
Now we talk about flow rate. Drinking water filter flow rate is about ½ gallon per minute or GPM. Shower water is flowing at a minimum of 2.5 GPM. You would need 5x the carbon in order to properly filter THAT MUCH WATER! Drinking water filters produce 1-3 gallons per day. Shower usage is about 12-50 gallons per day. You’d need a huge carbon filter in order to handle that.
- Redox filters
Reduction-Oxidation, or REDOX, is similar to a “catalytic converter” in a car. Simply stated, this type of filter transfers electrons between molecules, creating new elements. Free-chlorine is changed into a larger chloride element too large to evaporate, or be absorbed by the skin...it simply washes away down the drain. I have been using a really good REDOX shower filter from a company called Sprite Water (read about them here www.spritewater.com) Mine is a shower head with the filter already inside.
You can get one here: www.greenproductsconnection.com
It lasts about 1 year and then you need to replace it. Don’t waste your money buying cheaper ones. They don’t really work as well and won’t last as long. I no longer have any itchy skin or red eyes, and I feel really safe about the water I’m breathing in every day when I shower.

During the winter months, it is so cold that people do not feel like stepping out. The grey sky and lack of sun make people depressed and moody. Here is some advice on how to stay energetic and smiling even in winter.
1. Try Pilates
Taking a Yoga/Pilates class will help you stay in shape, relax and meet new people. You will be ready for the bikini season and share a good time with others.
2. Go for a walk
During the winter, the trees are without leaves and sometimes the skies can be grey but you can still enjoy the outdoors. Take advantage of a sunny and dry day to go for a walk in the forest (if you are near one) and enjoy the cold air. Do not forget to wear warm clothing to really enjoy this outdoor time.
3. Go for a coffee or dinner with your friends
During winter, it is not so usual to get together because everybody wants to stay indoors. However, there are real benefits in socializing. Laughing is essential to happiness and feeling appreciated too, so put on your jacket and gloves, and tonight is a board game night!
4. Go for a bike ridey
If you are wearing the appropriate clothing, a bike ride can actually be nice. It will help you get some fresh air and burn some calories.
5. Have a winter garden
Unless you live in Alaska or in the mountains, you can take care of your garden even in wintertime. There are a lot of vegetables growing in winter so don’t hesitate. You will exercise and eat organic fresh products. Isn’t life beautiful?
Human beings are not supposed to hibernate in winter so be a little brave and make this winter fun and enjoyable! Potiche
Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?
This proverbial question resonates all sorts of issues. One of the most contentious settings is the workplace-- an environment where people join together not by choice, but for the greater good of a necessary paycheck.
A dispute amongst men is a dispute worthy of diplomacy, but a dispute amongst woman is always a “catfight.”
Trucking along at my day job, a setting that reminds of the show Office Space, only less glamorous, I encountered a female manager who was “supposed” to train me. Training involved teaching me the ropes about a business that I was new to. Instead of sharing her wealth of knowledge with me, she hoarded it and left me sitting twirling my hair wondering what my delegated duties were. After day three of wondering what my job was supposed to entail, I decided that training myself, although not an easy task, was the only viable option. Since our boss was living in New York and she was the “office manager”, it was no sweat for her to mismanage me. I tried to be congenial with her. I offered her my hairdresser (my friend at a discounted rate), I told her where to get her eyebrows threaded, and I even bought coffee for the office, which she gladly accepted as she played friends. What I was not anticipating was that while I was trying to be the professional and considerate employee, she was plotting my demise. I was blindsided.
At first I questioned if she was capable of such mischief. I have always been naïve when it comes to certain things. Backstabbing is at the top of my list, simply because it is not an activity that I waste my energy on--I am not acclimated to such useless behavior.
The ambush started pretty straightforwardly when she walked into my office and casually asked me to initial and sign a customer’s name on an application. “You are joking?” I snidely asked, because polite I am, but an idiot I am not. “It’s not a big deal,” she chirped. “Then do it yourself,” I snapped disgusted with her audacity. “Ugh, you are so impossible,” she stormed out. The tension was building when she threatened my job. “You were hired to help me and I am going to tell our boss that you are under qualified,” she attacked me later in the day when she noticed I was fuming about that the fact that she asked me to sign a piece of paper that could have landed me in jail.
“You pick up that phone and I will say that you asked me to forge a document,” I said as she put the receiver down. I chose take the high road and not tattletale since she was a single parent, but someone in the office decided to share the news with our boss.
The very next day when I arrived to work, my password sheet (the lifeline of the business) was missing. Since I started a recycling project at the office, I frequently take paper out of careless people’s trash (sorry, but if you do not recycle in 2011, you are ignorant and need to be schooled). I intuitively knew where it was. “ Ay, but I haven’t seen it,” she acted dumbfounded. “Do you mind if I take your papers and recycle them?’” As I pulled through the trash, there sat my password sheet shoved at the very bottom of her trash.
This was my breaking point. I went into my office and called our boss. He for some reason found the whole situation amusing even with the knowledge that she asked me to sign an illegal document. I was accused of being petty over the password sheet and told that we both better get along otherwise we would be out of job.
I was appalled, infuriated, and in desperate need of a job, so I shut up. The next day, one of my co-workers, who was friendly with our boss said, “We have bets on who would win in a mud wrestling competition. I pick you, you seem to have some fire in you,” he laughed. I have so much fire in me that I could burn this whole misogynistic place down I thought to myself. Mud wrestling--so this is what an offensive and unprofessional situation was reduced to. What was worse was that she was 100% in the wrong and my job was on the line. A month later, co-worker of the year stole money from our company and I won the mud wrestling competition, only my clothes were pristine. When my boss was frantic over his stolen funds, I chuckled to myself. Certainly the writing was on the wall, but the writing was mistaken for women’s gibberish. I can’t help but think that if the same dispute occurred between men how seriously it would have been handled. Instead, my boss had money stolen from him and everything comes full circle, doesn’t it? Alfred Kendrick Imagine you wake up on a beautiful Saturday morning – not a cloud in the sky and the temperature is in the low eighties – the perfect beach day. You rally your friends, and get ready to spend your whole day basking in the sun and playing in the water. As you pull up to the beach, you notice that there are no cars or people in sight. The beach is closed.
Unfortunately this scenario plays out more than you might think. In fact, each year there are over 18,000 beach closures or health advisories issued due to contaminated water.
This is where the Surfrider Foundation helps. A 27-year old nonprofit founded in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation and its grassroots network of volunteer activists fight to protect our oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.
Think of this mission as three concepts. First, “protection and enjoyment.” Surfrider is made up of surfers, beach goers, watermen, and basically anybody and everybody who has a love for our oceans. None of us want to have our beaches closed because of pollution, or access to them restricted. We want to be able to freely enjoy our coasts without worries of illness or other restrictions.
The second concept in our mission is, “oceans, waves and beaches.” We are engaged with many different environmental issues that affect our beaches and coastlines. Our Chapters and activists focus their efforts on Water Quality, Beach Access, Beach Preservation and Protecting Special Places. We’ve fought campaigns to stop toll roads, open up surfing, ban single-use plastic bags, and establish marine reserves. These victories, and the other 172 we’ve achieved since the beginning of 2006 have resulted in positive conservation outcomes, improved coastal access, or both for our coastlines.
I’d like to have this portion of copy designed into a call-out box as it is disconnected from the above copy. The third and final concept of Surfrider’s mission, “a powerful activist network,” speaks to how we go about our campaigns, programs and outreach efforts. We are a grassroots organization consisting of everyday people who want to better their local beach community. We are not an exclusive organization. Our membership includes people who live at the beach, and those who live in the mountains. Bottom line is that all you need to have is a passion for protecting our coastlines. We’re moms and dads, we’re kids and teens, we’re doctors, lawyers and businessmen…we’re you. We’re engaged to protect what we love – our oceans, waves and beaches.
Even if you don’t live near the beach or a Chapter, there are still ways to protect our coastlines.
* Avoid using single-use plastic bottles and bags. These and other types of plastics often end up on our beaches and in our oceans, where they harm birds, sea turtles and other marine life.
* Properly dispose of your used motor oil. Never dump it down a storm drain or in a field. Instead, take it to a gas station or approved collection area for recycling.
* Pick up after your pet. Waste that reaches the ocean can make both people and marine life sick.
